Members of the IOA visit the pilot of the aWARE project in Membranes Platform
Around 40 people visited the plant of Sant Joan Despí last July 2nd in the framework of the World Congress of the International Ozone Association held from the June 28th to July 3rd at the World Trade Centre in Barcelona. The visit was attended by the organizers of the congress, technology suppliers, industry experts and scientists.
During the visit the Cetaqua explained the LIFE aWARE project and the work conducted with the application of advanced oxidation processes to water reclamation treatment schemes in the Experimental Membrane Platform in Sant Joan Despí drinking water treatment plant. The outcomes of this work were presented by Cetaqua’s researcher Cristian Mesa in the IOA Congress with the oral presentation entitled “Study of the influence of Advanced Oxidation Processes as a pretreatment of a Reverse Osmosis from an ultra-filtered water Reclamation”. The IOA featured more than 160 scientific presentations in three parallel sessions, special workshops on application development, visits to ozone installations and various cultural activities.
