LIFE aWARE presents its results in Lisbon
The LIFE aWARE – Lisbon workshop organized by the LNEC, was celebrated last June 3rd and counted with the participation of Aigües Barcelona and Cetaqua.
The event took place at the National Civil Engineering Laboratory in Lisbon. The objective was to present the AWARE project results to more than thirty participants from Universities, public entities and private companies related to the environment and water management in Portugal.
During the workshop, the main results of the aWARE project were exposed, just as the objectives of the LIFE IMPETUS and LIFE HYMEMB projects, which are focused on the development of technologies to control the levels of priority and emergent pollutants in waste water and drinking water treatment plants, respectively.
The workshop was completed with interesting presentations dealing with the experience of Aigües de Barcelona in the field of water reuse and the development of ISO standards and guidelines for water reuse, which was the latter presented by Dr. Anabela Rebelo from Portuguese Environment Agency. These contributions gave place to an interesting debate between the participants, in which relevant aspects about the aWARE project were addressed.
The aWARE project will soon announce its final workshop, which will take place in Barcelona during November 2016.
